Google Chrome comes with a list of several shortcuts for us to enjoy. Some a similar to the ones you already used, some a new as the functions in this amazing new browser. We’ll present you with just a few shortcuts to begin with and will add more in the articles to come.

  1. We’ll start with the traditional Ctrl+N to open a new window
  2. And Ctrl+Shift+N will open a new window in the Incognito mode
  3. Ctrl+T will be used to open a new tab
  4. Alt+Home gets you to your home page
  5. Press Ctrl and click a link to open it in a new tab
  6. Pressing Shift and clicking a link will open the link in a new window
  7. Ctrl+H is the faster way to get to the History page
  8. And Ctrl+J will show up your Downloads page
  9. Ctrl+B brings/hides the Google Chrome bookmarks bar
  10. Ctrl+Tab lets you switch through your open tabs
  11. F3 or CTRL+F will let you search through the page
  12. F5 to reload
  13. Shift+Esc to bring the Chrome Task Manager
  14. Ctrl+U to view the source
  15. Space bar – scroll down the web page
  16. Ctrl+W or Ctrl+F4 to close the current tab or pop-up
  17. Ctrl and + to make the text larger
  18. Respectively Ctrl and - for smaller text
  19. And Ctrl+0 (zero) to get back to the original text size
  20. Ctrl+K or Ctrl+E places a ‘?’ in the address bar which is used to perform search with your default search engine (guess which?)
